We will endeavor to notify users of significant changes, but it is ultimately your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates. These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, supporting the integrity of our Canadian eco-tours framework.

Tour Booking Terms and Conditions

Our booking terms are designed to facilitate a smooth reservation process and inform you of our policies regarding cancellations, modifications, and group arrangements for all Canadian eco-tours.

We aim for clarity in all transactions, ensuring you have complete understanding before committing to an unforgettable experience with Terra Nova Scales.

Booking Procedures and Payments

All bookings require adherence to our online reservation system. A deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the full balance due a specified number of days prior to the tour departure. Confirmation of your booking will be sent via email upon successful payment. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of your reservation.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds are issued based on the timing of the cancellation:

• 60+ days prior to tour: 90% refund of total tour cost.
• 30-59 days prior to tour: 50% refund of total tour cost.
• Less than 30 days prior to tour: No refund.

Please note that certain non-recoverable costs (e.g., permits, specific event tickets) may be deducted from any refund amount. Weather-related cancellations initiated by Terra Nova Scales will result in a full refund or rebooking opportunity, prioritizing safety above all else.

Group Bookings and Modifications

Special terms may apply to group reservations, including different deposit schedules and cancellation policies. Please contact us directly for corporate packages and large group inquiries. Tour modifications and rescheduling requests are subject to availability and may incur administrative fees.

Safety Compliance and Physical Fitness

Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by our guides. Certain tours may require a reasonable level of physical fitness; please review specific tour descriptions carefully. Participants are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect their ability to safely participate.

Respectful Wildlife Viewing

We advocate for responsible and ethical wildlife observation. This includes maintaining a respectful distance, refraining from touching or disturbing animals, avoiding loud noises, and never feeding wildlife. Our guides will provide specific guidelines for each species encountered to ensure minimal impact on Canadian reptile habitats.

Equipment and Preparation

Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear, and any personal equipment specified in the tour itinerary. All participants acknowledge and agree to comply with emergency procedures outlined by Terra Nova Scales guides. This includes understanding rendezvous points, communication protocols, and evacuation plans in remote settings. Your cooperation is vital in ensuring the safety of the entire group.

Liability Limitations and Content Protection

Understanding the inherent risks of outdoor exploration, this section clarifies our limitations of liability and reinforces the protection of our valuable educational and brand content.

Terra Nova Scales ensures the highest safety standards, but acknowledges the unpredictable nature of wilderness environments in Canada.

Limitations of Liability

By participating in Terra Nova Scales tours and activities, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor adventure tourism, including but not limited to, potential injury, illness, property damage, or loss. Terra Nova Scales, its employees, and guides shall not be held liable for any such occurrences unless directly caused by gross negligence on our part. We strongly recommend participants obtain adequate travel and medical insurance.

Intellectual Property Protection

All content present on the Terra Nova Scales website, including text, graphics, logos, images, educational materials, and tour itineraries, is the exclusive property of Terra Nova Scales and protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of this content is strictly prohibited.

Photography and Media Usage Rights

Participants are welcome to take personal photographs and videos during tours. However, commercial use of such media featuring Terra Nova Scales guides, specific tour routes, or other proprietary elements without prior written consent is forbidden. Terra Nova Scales reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during tours for promotional and educational purposes, provided they do not infringe upon individual privacy rights.

Third-Party Content and Attribution
