Our tours span a variety of critical habitats across Southern Ontario, from the lush Carolinian forests to the ancient rock formations of the Canadian Shield. Each location offers unique opportunities to encounter specific native reptile species in their natural environments.

  • **Wetlands & Marshes:** Home to Blanding's Turtles, Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnakes, and various garter snake species.
  • **Forests & Woodlands:** Ideal for Smooth Greensnakes, Northern Watersnakes, and Eastern Hog-nosed Snakes.
  • **Rocky Outcrops & Escarpment:** Where you might spot Five-lined Skinks basking on warm rocks.

Safe, Responsible Wildlife Encounters

Our guides are certified Wilderness First Responders and undergo rigorous training in wildlife encounter management, particularly with venomous species (Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake). We maintain a 100% safety record through strict adherence to established protocols, small group sizes, and constant vigilance. Your safety and the well-being of the animals are our top priorities.

We provide a detailed list of recommended clothing and equipment tailored to the season and specific tour. Generally, this includes sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, insect repellent, a hat, water, and appropriate layers. We emphasize minimizing bright colors to blend in with natural surroundings. A downloadable checklist is available upon booking.

Tours run rain or shine, embracing the natural elements, though severe weather may necessitate rescheduling for safety. We assess each tour's accessibility and can often accommodate varying needs. Please inform us of any accessibility considerations at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements or recommend suitable routes.
